Welcome to Ketzal Martial Arts!
Since October 2018, Ketzal Martial Arts has been part of the Lake Oswego community, dedicated to transforming lives through the practice of Tang Soo Do. Our focus is on instilling confidence and enhancing discipline while providing an excellent workout. We are committed to fostering a safe, comfortable, and welcoming family atmosphere for all students and their families in Lake Oswego, where individuals can develop physically, intellectually, emotionally, and socially.
At Ketzal Martial Arts, we firmly believe martial arts is inclusive and suitable for everyone, regardless of age, gender, or experience level. Across our programs, we emphasize self-development, guiding our students to achieve, develop, and succeed in their personal goals.

Kickstart Your Journey with Tang Soo Do
Tang Soo Do, an ancient martial art tracing its roots back 2,000 years to the Korean peninsula, is a method that incorporates empty hand, foot, and weapon fighting, focusing on the scientific use of the body in self-defense. Tang Soo Do is a defensive martial art that prioritizes principles like yielding, circular movement, and effective techniques.
Find Inner Peace with Ki Gong
Ki Gong is another aspect through which we contribute to the community. It serves as a form of active meditation, combining focused movement with rhythmic breathwork. Ki Gong equips our students with tools to overcome anxiety and reconnect with their bodies in a peaceful and powerful manner. To reach a broader audience, we offer online classes in both Spanish and English, ensuring accessibility for a diverse student population.
Our Chief Instructor
Our chief instructor and owner, Ms. Gena Eiseman, brings over a decade of teaching experience and a deep passion for Tang Soo Do, Ki Gong, and child development. In 2023, she attained her third-degree black belt through the World Tang Soo Do Association and reached Ki Gong Instructor Level V through the World Ki Gong. Ms. Eiseman is dedicated to continuous training in child development.
Ketzal Martial Arts, under Ms. Eiseman's leadership, and its members are certified by the World Tang Soo Do Association, a global organization with over 500 member studios and more than 100,000 members across 36 countries.
